Doggy Boarding School is for dogs of all ages and breeds. During boarding school,
dogs live with Florence, our owner, to work on anything from house-breaking to
separation anxiety issues. Florence likes families to be very involved in training, so
she will meet with you weekly to talk about your dog's progress. The end goal is for
your dog to be responsive to YOU, so Florence stays in close contact even after your
dog "graduates" to make sure he makes a smooth transition home.
During their time at boarding school, dogs live in the house and are treated like
members of the family. They have 3 formal training sessions each day learning basic
through advanced commands that are customized to your needs. The main focus of
training is to teach your dog how to be obedient, well-mannered and have
self-control. She must follow basic house rules including: No jumping, no begging,
no nuisance barking, no destructive behavior like getting into the trash or chewing
furniture, no potty in the house, and much more. All training is done using positive
techniques only including teaching through games and play in order to make
learning fun and long-lasting. No punishment or harsh methods are ever used.
Boarding School is great for busy people who do not have the significant amount of
time required to properly train their dog. It's also good for those who do not want to
get up several times during the night to housebreak a puppy!
