Puppy Kindergarten
Next class begins Wednesday, September 8th at 6:30pm
Enrolling your puppy in Puppy Kindergarten class will be the beginning of a
wonderful lifetime bond between you and your dog. Learning early how to
communicate well is essential.
Kindergarten is open to puppies 10-16 weeks old. This class teaches puppies how to
socialize in a safe and fun environment so they will grow into well-mannered,
friendly dogs who handle stress and new situations with confidence. Lessons
learned during this critical developmental period will affect them for life.
This class will provide extensive owner education and address problem behaviors
such as housebreaking, jumping, mouthing/biting, barking, and overall non-
responsiveness. Basic commands (Sit, Down, Stand, Come and Look) will be
introduced.
Classes are limited to 6 puppies to ensure personal attention for each participant.
The class meets one time per week for 5 consecutive weeks. The first class is for
humans only. At the end of the last class, dogs who can show sufficient
understanding of their basic commands will receive a graduation diploma noting
their accomplishments. 5 wks, 1 hr/wk $139
Who can Attend Puppy Kindergarten Class
All breeds of puppies between 10 and 16 weeks should attend puppy class. Each
puppy may have up to two adult handlers. Children 13 or over may be one of those
handlers. Well-behaved younger children are welcome to attend class with a
supervising adult. To ensure that puppies are healthy and free of infectious disease,
they must show proof of vaccinations prior to the start of class.
